We really enjoyed the stay, the lodge was great, very african and it was fantastic to have the animals all around us. Zac was really helpful and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Khumbula iAfrica has surpassed our expectations in so many ways. Right from when we first arrived - receiving a fantastically warm welcome from Shirley and Zac - to our wonder at how beautiful the lodge is (and how our every need is catered for) - to the abundant wildlife on our doorstep. Since we arrived, we have hardly moved from the pool side because all the animals came to us. Just today (10/03/08) we have had zebra, warthog, baboon, and giraffe who haven't moved since last night! (It seems they quite like this watering hole!) On our early morning walks we have seen hippo, crocs, elephant, impala, wildebeest, waterbuck, giraffe, and fantastically a white rhino this morning! And, to top it all, on Thursday the 6th, we were priveleged to see a herd of 18 elephants while we were having sundowners at the river! Zac and Shirley have been wonderful hosts and they have made our stay that much more special. Khumbula iAfrica will always hold a special place in our memories - we will miss it but hope to be back some day.

Khumbula is one place that needs to be visited!! We had one of the most amazing weeks away which felt like a month. The service and standards are impecable and the layout cleverly planned offering so much space to wind down forgetting the time and date. I have traveled all of Africa and whilst loving every place I have travelled I will say that we will without a doubt return to Khumbula Iafrica for another stay and bring our friends with us. Thanks so much for making our time away one to remember forever - we talk about it everyday...

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at Khumbula Iafrica. It was an absolutely awesome weekend. We loved seeing the animals roam freely around, and being able to feed and touch the zebras. Shirley was amazing too and so friendly, she really helped to make our stay more comfortable. The weather was great and we enjoyed swimming in the pool and just spending a weekend relaxing. We hope to see you again, thank you for everything!

Khumbula iAfrica was a fabulous place to stay. The house is beautifully decorated in the African style and Zac and Shirley were very helpful. We loved Marloth Park with animals walking freely around the yards. It's also very convenient to Kruger- a fantastic park. The house is also conveniently located to shopping areas as well as a day trip to Swaziland. We made an excellent choice. Many thanks!

Absolutely amazing time!!! Relaxing, fun to see the animals every day, we had zebras, warthogs, wildebeest, giraffes, herd of kudu and loads of birds. Our walks to the river including seeing herds of elephants and lions basking in the sun on the Kruger side. We were well looked after by Zac and Shirley. We enjoyed every moment of our stay at Khumbula. From the minute we arrived we felt very special with all the comfort and attention we got. Zack and Shirley were very helpful and friendly. The place is also very neat and tidy and that is something you don't get everyday. We decided that next time we want to spend at least two weeks and not only four days.We will definitely refer Khumbula to all our friends and family. Thanks again for everything.

We loved every part of the place. Everything was there that you need. We took a drive down by the croc river and saw Elephant and Hippo, the rest of the time we spent in the splash pool cooling off. At the house we saw, Duiker, Impala, Giraffe, Wildebeest, warthog, and two Zebra families - One Family that has a baby. Zac And shirley do a great job. Khumbulaiafrica is a place to Remember for sure.

This is the first day of our stay. I must say that I have been to many places, but this is the best by far. The decor especially. You have really outdone yourself. (On departure) Thank you guys. This was truly the best holiday we ever had. Waking up to the giraffes and zebras...woooow! The best we have ever seen was the rhino, hippo, crocodile, buck, elephant, wildebeest, and the best of all...the 2 lionesses at Kruger Park. Great! Great! Great holiday, and we have you guys to thank! We will definitely see you guys soon.

It would fill pages to list all the nice details that made us feel great here, right in the middle of the bush. It combines wilderness with comfort and warmth and tidiness. Perfect for us with two little children. At the house we saw zebra, giraffe, baboons, monkeys, warthog, duiker and a little wild cat. At the river we saw hippo, buffalo, impala and waterbuck. And we felt safe and well taken care of by Zac and Shirley. Such a wonderful stay here, with the fire and the stars. South Africa is breathtaking.

What a wonderful break from Hohannesburg. We had the most aewsome time. Woke the first morning with game at the waterhole - baboons, impala and zebra's that you could literally touch. Our drives through the Kruger were amazing too. We had numerous sightings of the Big-5. Highlights being lions mating 15m from the road. Thank you Zac and Shirley for making out stay at Khumbula iAfrica so welcoming. Shirley, your friendly smile an Zac your stories whilst making the fire will be fondly remembered. Many thanks.

Wow - what an experience! Lucury and pampering in the bush amongst the animals. We loved the zebras coming to 'mow the lawn' and the walk along the river in the evenings. Zac made the best fires I've ever seen and sorted out the chairs for us. Shirley did a wonderful job making everything spic 'n span to come home to. Thanks again. This was soooo special.

Wow, wow, wow! What a fantastic place to stay. It really does give you a taste for nature and Africa. We had an amazing time here and visiting Kruger. I have read through your guestbook and can only agree with all the comments. This place "Khumbula iAfrica" - what a fantastic place. We were greeted by the warmth of Shirley and Zac. Relaxing - one can sit on the "stoep" and watch the passive game, birds, reptiles and insects. Our minds wondered - living with nature. We spent 95% of our time at this beautiful peaceful and relaxing home. Our visit to Lower Sabie in Kruger was also wonderful. Amongst all the animals we saw, we saw the one animal we wanted to see - the ever beautiful LEOPARD who walked right to our vehicle probably sensing our eagerness to see her. Shirley and Zac are wonderful people - ever present, keeping the place clean and safe. Wonderful, beautiful place. WE WILL BE BACK!!!!

Wow! This is fantastic. Such a spacious and welcoming home. We love it, and we really enjoy the outside bush. Thank you for opening your home to us. Your delicate finishes and interior decoration turns this house into a HOME. We have relatives who come to South Africa and this really made their trip worthwhile. They flew 24 hours from LA, California. Now they'll come again just to see this one more time! So thank you again, your helpers, Shirley and Zac really made our stay unbelievable! So pleased that we met and by chance found out about "A place to remember". It was a perfect gift for my mom's 50th birthday. We had an absolutely amazing time. I have traveled the world extensively and will never forget the wonderful time we had. We will be coming back, definitely. A perfect place to teach my children about the wild and respect for the wild. All the ladies had a fantastic time! Thanks to Zac and Shirley. We appreciate you making our stay relaxing. We really enjoyed the zebra coming right up to the house. Aimée was so excited. I was eve more excited about the giraffe - to see them so close was awesome...I got some great pic's!
